I’m Patrick Ogenstad, and since 1998 I’ve been working as an IT consultant at Netsafe, a Swedish service provider helping companies with their network environments. As many others in my field of work I really enjoy using computers and to learn new things about them.

During my years in the computer industry I have worked mostly with the Windows environment, Cisco, and I also like working with Linux. A specific interest I have is that of computer security, combined with another hobby of mine I came up with the idea to create this site. The other hobby was writing.

I have always liked writing short stories and I always seem to have ideas flying around my head, but in the past I’ve had trouble getting those ideas down on paper (oh, sorry I meant to the screen). The fiction I’ve written for this site is available here.

Starting up a blog would give me a place to publish my stories, it would also allow others to comment or send feedback regarding my work.

Being able to get feedback is one of the things I love about the Internet. In August 2004 I created the SYDI Project, which goal is to help system administrators with network documentation. I have received emails from all over the word from people who; have thanked me, commented on the software and had feature requests.

If you have any opinion about this site, please post a comment to one of the posts or contact me.

If you like this site and want to stay up to date, you can subscribe to the Feed (what is this “feed” I keep hearing about?), or by email.
